Clean Your Files Day

"Clean Your Files Day" is a way to celebrate Earth Day and save some money for your office too! The benefits from doing such a project include:

  • increasing the amount of paper that's recycled
  • saving on tipping fees, since there is no cost for disposal of recyclable items
  • creating more office filing space
  • developing new and better filing systems
  • making recycling a routine habit
  • encouraging duplex copying, which could cut paper use and costs in half

"National Clean Your Files Day" is sponsored by the U.S. Conference of Mayors. The DSW coordinates a countywide project each April. In 2001, 4,650 pounds of office paper was recycled. If your Oswego County company would like to organize a "Clean Your Files Day" project, call the DSW at 315-591-9200.
