 March 24, 2008 March is Red Cross Month
The efforts of the American Red Cross are traditionally recognized during Red Cross Month in March. Founded in 1881 by Clara Barton, the American Red Cross is one of the oldest humanitarian organizations in the U.S. County Legislature Chairman Barry Leemann recently presented a proclamation honoring the Red Cross to Karen Ferguson, Branch Director of the American Red Cross.
